Professional Tree Care

Recognized as an expert in the field, owner Todd Fitzgerald began Professional Tree Care in Jackson, WY in 2001. A graduate of the University of Montana, School of Forestry he began his career working for the U.S. Forest Service and eventually transitioned into the private tree care industry, learning the trade in Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington. Once in Jackson, Todd quickly became established as a competent tree climber with advanced tree climbing, pruning and removal skills. Over time he has expanded his scope of service to include tree pruning, removal, stump grinding, composting & mulching, root collar excavations, wildfire prevention/defensible space, tree risk assessment, tree health assessment, tree protection during construction, tree management plans and consulting.

Safety

As a Certified Arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) since 1998, Todd is dedicated to education and being current with recognized tree care industry standards and best management practices. Todd recently renewed his ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ), which he first obtained in 2014. With over ten years experience as an ISA Qualified Tree Risk Assessor, Todd is committed to promoting the professional practice of arboriculture and fostering greater awareness of the benefits of trees, while having the experience to identify tree conditions that may indicate when a tree has become a dangerous liability. With close to twenty years of service as a State of Wyoming Volunteer Firefighter, Todd received annual training on CPR and medical emergencies, as well as many opportunities to enhance his high angle rope skills and rescue safety training. He is committed to protecting people, and conserving the property around him, while completing dangerous tree work. Serving Western Wyoming and Eastern Idaho

Professional Tree Care began in 2001, with operations primarily in Teton County, Wyoming, serving the towns of Jackson, WIlson and Moran. Did not take long to expand the service area to Teton County, Idaho, including Victor, Driggs and even Tetonia. Currently based in Lincoln County, Wyoming, Professional Tree Care now offers service to Alpine, Etna, Star Valley Ranch, Thayne and Afton as well. On rare occasions we have traveled to Sublette County, Wyoming, and provided service in Bondurant, Big Piney and Pinedale.
